Boston Manor

Going to concerts means as well discovering “new” bands. Boston Manor is such a case. The guys from Blackpool were next on stage last Friday.

The fact that the band is still relatively young with its almost six years of existence – the same applies to its members, all of whom are in their 20s with the exception of guitarist Mike Cunniff – could not be felt from a musical point of view. The band played like the big ones and brought the Komplex 457 with their pop-punk songs to the boil within a few minutes. Hits like “Halo” or “Flowers in your Dustbin” were sung from full throats. The almost endless energy of front man Henry Cox, who bounced around on stage like a Duracell rabbit, is unmistakable and would probably have continued for a long time if the next band called Sleeping With Sirens hadn’t already been in the starting blocks.
